Whilst i was typing up the Health and saftey table, liam and tom wrote up the script to the production taking all notes and ideas into account, after writting up the script tom composed a list of props needed and we disussed who would aquire each prop.

1. EXT. FRONT OF SCHOOL – DAY
HOLLY walks up to the front of school and goes through the front doors. There is a poster on the school doors with the words SINGLE PARENTS SPEED DATING emblazoned on it.
2. INT. SCHOOL – CORRIDOR – DAY
HOLLY walks through the corridor and turns right into the hall.
INT. SCHOOL – MAIN HALL STAGE – DAY
HOLLY walks around the corner of the stage, and sits down at a single table, alone. There is the sound of a ringing bell, and DERRICK sits down, holding a can of ‘Go Cat’ and a fork.
DERRICK
Hello.
HOLLY
(awkwardly)
Hi...
DERRICK
Hello.
HOLLY
Are you eating ‘Go Cat’?
DERRICK
Why yes! Yes I am! You see the problem with ‘Go Cat’...
He examines her name badge
...Holly, is that yes, ‘Go Cat’is a nutritious and delicious snack- but most people can’t find such a can of endless wonder, as it is not found in Supermarkets like most food-stuffs, but it is actually found in the ‘Cat Care’ section of ‘Pets at Home’!
HOLLY nervously presses the bell. The camera cuts back to the opposite side of the table and Brackus sits down
BRACKUS
S’up bitch
HOLLY
Hi...
BRACKUS
So... so what you into?
HOLLY
Well, looking after my boy comes first-
BRACKUS
Nah I mean what you in…to
He winks and leers at her. She rings the bell. Gary and Simon sit down
HOLLY
Oh… hi
GARY
Hello, we’re Gary and Simon
SIMON
But mainly we’re called Simon
GARY
No, mainly we’re called Gary, I was born first
SIMON
Neither of us were born first, we’re conjoined twins
GARY
Well the penis is on my side, so shut up
SIMON
I told you not to say that in front of girls!
SIMON headbutts Gary and they fall of the chair, grappling. Holly rings the bell. Gerald sits down
HOLLY
Wow… Hello...
GERALD opens his mouth, and an extensive lizard tongue falls out. He tries to speak, but his voice is muffled by his massive tongue. She rings the bell, Harry sits down
HARRY
Why hello there, little witch
HOLLY
(Confused and tired)
Hello…
HARRY
So… do you wanna sit on my wand?
HOLLY
Really, really not
HARRY
I expect you already know who I am…
Harry pulls out the dead corpse of Brackus from under the desk
HARRY
I killed Voldemort, I killed him…
HOLLY opens her mouth to speak, but Harry puts his wand to her lips
HARRY
Shhh
He waves his wand and the light goes out.

Preliminary - Character profiles
as a group we came up with the chracters and i wrote up the short overveiw of each, however tom went away and expanded on the description of each.
Character profiles
Holly
Holly is a single mother of about 25. She has been convinced and bullied into coming to this event by her friends. She is of average height, blonde hair, attractive. Casually dressed, she is attending the ‘single parents speed dating evening’ in search of love. She is perfectly normal and bemused and bewildered at the speed daters she sees throughout the evening. She becomes increasingly frustrated, sarcastic and angry before storming out.
Derrick
Derrick is a single parent of about 45. His interests include recreational drugs, the Jeremy Kyle show, looking after his 14 cats and eating his favourite snack ‘Go Cat’. He wears a leather jacket, comb over, chords, large square glasses and has a large black moustache. He has the air of a paedophile. He is looking for love, and tries to woe Holly.
Brackus
There is only one way to describe Brackus: Badman. He is sporting a 80s tracksuit, cheap jewellery and a lavish hairstyle achieved only through considerable amounts of Brylcream. He lives on the local Oxmoor council estate, but his interests include baking fudge and desperate housewives. He is on the hunt for ‘fresh pussy’.

Gary and Steve are twenty two year old conjoined twins (non identical). They has similar interests and have two children, also conjoined (so you could count that as one, but it is frowned upon to do so). They are looking for love, as Gary’s wife left him, after 2 years on finding out that he was a conjoined twin.

Gerald is a handsome, charming, single parent of twenty six. He lives a normal life, after his wife left him for his best friend (a seven foot black man). There is only one problem with Gerald’s normality: he has a three foot long lizard tongue (which his ex wife loved, but not as much as basketball players, evidently).

Harry Potter is a thirty seven year old wizard. He is going through a rough patch in his career- Ginny has run off with Dean Thomas and their kids, and his short lived famed through his defeat of the most evil dark wizard of all time, Voldemort, is long since passed. He has fallen into depression, and taken to Cheering Charms to get him through the day. His fame has made him delusional and he thinks of himself as a ‘ladies man’.

Preliminary - Health and saftey
I made a health and saftey sheet specifying where the risk of the production would be, who would be at risk and how to control the risk of an accident. I did this for each scene and typed it up into a table. (please see table as cannot link the table into blog.) The main hazard was Children being around the building after school since the shoot was going to be located in and around the school.
Preliminary - Short overview
Before making a script, as a group, we discussed what the genre of the short film would be and what the basic story would be. We started writing notes and expanded on the main idea of a comedic speed dating service.
Main character Holly goes to a speed dating after school session and interviews a selection of men, all with a freakesk quality. She asks a variety of questions to each, of which none of the replies are “Normal”.
